Weekly Reflection 4

This week we had a special speaker, Ana Galac from SD62. Ms. Galac talked to us about what kind of hardware and software that is available to teachers in SD62. I really enjoyed learning about all the hardware’s and software’s available to us as future teachers. For example, Ms. Galac discussed how all schools have extra laptops that can be provided to teachers if they need them. Another available software is all the education digital resources on the Virtual Library Learning Commons (VLLC); the resources on VLLC are interesting because on each resource description it says the age category that the resource is fit to be used. It was interesting to learn about the tech support and all the different types of websites that are available for us as future teachers, and I now feel more equipped to use websites to help aid students in their learning. Overall, this class was good at explaining all the options and websites that are available to us as future teachers.
